Note: The following is based on me and my family’s experience and it may not be the same for you. Reserved for Oct. 30-31 1. Nice overall theme - super instagram worthy yung place 2. Confusing Parking and Reception area - When we got there madaming cars yung di alam san ppwesto but it was resolved naman agad. Still, confusing and even if you reserved a room parang agawan parin sa parking slot. - Reception is futher back and near the restaurant. Not a fan of this kind of layout since it’s confusing and walang mag assist directly sayo but i guess kanya kanyang hanap ng reception dito 3. May nakaharang na table papunta sa beach - Before you go sa beach, they have a restaurant and it really blocks the whole path for you. Specially when the restaurant has a lot of customers, you have to really squeeze yourself para lang makadaan. We just got out of the beach and we were wet and guess what, we have nowhere to pass through. Ended up passing through the employees kitchen area para makarating sa room. Like??? Given the limited space ok fine but still could’ve been better 4. No shower area near the beach - there is one faucet near the restaurant but like, it’s really open and small. It’s only enough ti remove the sand sa feet and slippers 5. Good Breakfast - they have a nice breakfast and it’s filling - free 6. The restaurant on the second floor was disappointing compared to its aesthetic interior and its price - the burger served to us wasn’t hot when it arrived idk why. Had to request for it to be reheated but then again, it was just warm and still cold sa inside - food came out late - menu has no pictures so the server had to explain one by one since it’s not a filipino dish. - Not a fan compared to its price. - tinipid ata yung dami ng drinks ang onti compared to its price and it tastes bland 7. Room has clogged shower drainage - i think this is because there’s no shower area, the sand from the beach all goes there and has clogged the drainage. It also smells horrible. We had to ask for assistance pero ang sabi lang ng maintenance is nagawa na raw siya pero the next morning, clogged parin naman. 8. Poor space layout - architecture student here and it was a really confusing layout. Restroom should be near the restaurant and the beach not the parking lot - furnitures are blocking the path to the beach si the customers have to adjust big time As an architecture student, the place really is beautiful and has a solid concept but lacks functionality. If you have picky family members, i don’t suggest this place. If you are traveling with friends, it’s a nice place.

I booked my reservation on December 21 and paid 50% but I cancelled the next day because I was advised by my Dra. to not go on a long trip since it’s dangerous for me and my baby. (I booked not knowing I’m pregnant). I told them that unfortunately I have to cancel my booking and want my refund and was told that I can’t have my refund so what I did was show them their Cancellation Policy; which there will be a 30% cancellation fee and I’ll be not refunded IF cancellation was made 48 hours before the reservation date. (My reservation date is on Dec. 26-27). Mind you, they ask me to wait on the said reservation date to be refunded but I point out to them that according to their policy I’ll not be getting my refund if I wait until 26. They agreed to refund me on January 1 (10 business days) but on the said date they’re asking me to wait more so I seek for the managing director which was very rude, and angry at me for not being understanding for waiting for MY money. I regret even booking on their resort, they already have the 30% cancellation fee but still don’t want to give my money back. The staff on the front desk, the managing director, and the agent assisting on the Messenger app don’t know and understand their own policy. If I’m allowed to share our conversation here, I will, but unfortunately, there’s no option here.

Accomodation: Reasonable price. We rented out a room good for 4 pax. It is airconditioned. The bathroom has a tight shower area, with water heater. I appreciate that bath essentials, including towels, are available. WiFi very slow from our room, probably due to the high volume of people. Once you're in the resto, signal is good. Service: Staff was very courteous and hospitable. We arrived way too early for our check in time at 3pm. They allowed us to leave our bags on the shelves found at the lobby area. They also have complimentary drinks (iced tea or mojito) upon check-in. Food and drinks: AMAZING! I like that they have a restaurant, a cafe, and a tiki bar that opens at night! They also have free breakfast if you check-in. They will ask you to choose from a variety of silogs plus a coffee of choice. Location: Beach front. Amazing sunset. You can easily walk from the resort to other famous eats in La Union such as: Tagpuan, El Union, Coffee Library, Flotsam and more. If you're coming to La Union to experience food and drinks, Fat Wave is a good place to stay.

I haven't checked into this place. But we ate our breakfast here. We waited to be seated for an hour. Cause they only take walk-ins after 8 am. We arrived at 7 am. The food is good but not extraordinary. The service is kinda different for walk-ins and their guests checked in at their rooms. After eating we wanted to enjoy the place and rest before leaving. But they took our plates right off while the rest were not yet done eating. And the shake we ordered took 3 follow ups after it was brought over while the same shake ordered by other tables came before us but we came in and ordered first. But still it's a good place for the gram and for viewing they have tables facing the beach so you'll enjoy eating.
